Chris Person, Owner
Chris Person started his career working Saturday mornings at his mother's restaurant Adrian's. He worked at the restaurant until 1984 when he left Adrian's and went to manage the Corner Malt Shop in downtown Mankato. In 1988 Chris and brother, Patrick, remodeled the old Stone Toad on Madison Avenue and opened the legendary Tav on the Ave. The Tav was the first tavern to serve Buffalo wings. Today they have sold over 5 million! In February 2007 the Tav closed for one week and remodeled to make Tav on the Ave Mankato's elite tavern.
Jessica Bluhm, Pastry Chef
Jessic Bluhm is the pastry chef at Tav on the Ave. She is a graduate of the Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts. She recently moved back to the Greater Mankato area after working for D’Amico Kitchens in Naples FL and Minneapolis MN. Jessica enjoys chocolate and candy making. She is excited to be making desserts for you and also creates unique desserts for DINO’S Pizzeria and The Neighbor’s Italian Bistro.
